Louise McMahon is a genre-fluid composer and singer-songwriter. Her recent works include folk-rock songs, chamber music, chorale and solo piano works described as "Immersive and rapturous" by Bernard Clarke, RTE Lyric fm. 

Louise has performed internationally and her music has featured on national radio and television shows in Ireland, Slovakia and United States. Her recent contemporary works premiered on RTE Lyric FM and Rádio FM RTVS, and a publication for her folk song 'Wide Eyed Lady' on ARC Music's Ultimate Guide to Irish Folk can be found in New York University Library, the Naxos library and digital stores internationally. Her folk music features Terry Woods, 'A River' featured on The Apprentice reality television on TV3, and was distributed with The Irish Daily Mail newspaper. 

Lou contributed her singing voice to a production by media composer/music editor Shie Rozow, the music video won three communicator awards and featured in LA media, including CBS and Hollywood Weekly, "perfect pitch" Shie Rozow

 

Lou enjoys contributing reports to Luke Clancy's Culture File on RTE Lyric fm. She has interviewed a diverse range of guests and crafted unique stories for the show, including the musical score and sound design. She has had the pleasure of interviewing many celebrities and artists, including Roisin Murphy, Jay Rayner and Jeff Rona for Culture File. Louises chamber works are supported by prestigious institutions -- The Arts Council of Ireland, Culture Ireland, The Glens arts centre and the Embassy of Ireland in Germany.
